DIVISIONS:  OC-2, OC-1, Surfski, SS-2, V-1

  • Prone and SUP paddleboards – Short course only
  • FOILS:
    • Wing Foil and SUP Foil Short course only. End at Kaimana Wind Sock
    • Prone Foil – From Kaikos to Kaimana Wind Sock. 

LONG COURSE: Makai Pier to Sand Island. 20.2 miles

SHORT COURSE: Hawaii Kai to Sand Island. 13.4 miles

CRUISER COURSE: Start / Finish Sand Island. 6.7 miles

WORLDWIDE: Anything goes. 18 miles.

WING FOIL AND SUP FOIL: China Wall to Kaimana. 8 miles

PRONE FOIL: Kaiko’s to Kaimana. 1.5 miles

Cost:$28.00 per race. ENTRY FEE INCLUDES event T-shirt, Hammer Nutrition fizz and gel pack, postage to your door with a US address, and another raffle ticket for great prizes from your sponsors.  International add $20.00 for shipping.

DETAILS:

  • You must submit your actual race time when you register- no guesstimates.
  • You must race the Oahu course on Saturday April 03. There will be 2 categories for timing:
    1. Start at any time of day.
    2. Start within 20 minutes of the suggested start time.
  • Suggested start times are 9:30 a.m. for all O’ahu courses.
  • Worldwide can race any time before closing of registration on April 04th.

Course Details:

  • Long Course: Start just off the south end of the jetty at Makai Pier heading towards Makapu’u. The finish is between the Yellow Maui Jim buoy and the beach at Sand Isle. Paddling site.
  • Short course: Start in waist deep water off Marshall’s beach in Hawaii Kai. Round the Blinker Buoy and finish between the Yellow Maui Jim buoy and the beach at Sand Isle. Paddling site.
  • Cruiser Course: Start just off the Yellow Maui Jim buoy heading north. Go around Mokuoeu Isle., back to the main channel, head out to the big red channel marker, go left to the Yellow Maui Jim Buoy marking the small channel, take another left and finish inside the lagoon where you started: between the Yellow Maui Jim Buoy and the beach.
  • Worldwide: You can race anywhere at any time for one whole week prior to the closing of registration at 5:00 pm HST on Sunday April 04th.  Oahu paddlers are welcome to use their best 18 miles to enter the Worldwide course.
  • There will be 2 sets of results for the Oahu courses:  1 for those who started within 20 minutes of the suggested start time, and one with everyone, no matter what time of the day they started.
  • Wing Foil and SUP Foil: Start at China Walls. Finish at the Wind Sock (Wind Sock on your right).
  • Prone Foil:  Catch a wave at Kaikos and hit your GPS/Start button. Pump surf around Diamond Head to Kaimana. Finish with Windsock on your right.

You must submit your actual race time when you register- no guesstimates, hence no registering before you race. After you race, register at www.flpregister.com, but before 5:00 p.m. HST on Sunday April 04th. You will need your ACTUAL time to register, so please register AFTER you race, and choose the correct course.

KIRA will track the Poai Puni Series results and the Waterman series results for registered paddlers. Registered paddlers will earn raffle credits for every entry, for chances to win raffle prizes from our sponsors.

Always maintain 6 feet distancing. No gathering before or after the race. Wear masks when appropriate.
