Race anything you want, but if you have an OC-2, today is the day to bring a partner

Divisions: OC-2, OC-1, Surfski, SUP, Prone paddleboard, V-1

Courses

Oahu Long Course: 10 miles: Hawaii Kai to Magic Island nipple buoy
Oahu Short Course: Same as long
Worldwide Course: 10 Miles – Anything goes

Cost: $8.00 per race.

Details: You must submit your actual race time when you register- no guesstimates. You must race the Oahu course on Sunday February 28, but you can choose your time of day. Worldwide can race any time between Feb. 21st and Feb. 28.

  • Suggested start times are:
    • 9:30 a.m. for short course.
    • 10:00 a.m. for long course
  • You must submit your actual race time when you register- no guesstimates, hence no registering before you race.
  • Long Course: Start in Waist deep water at Marshall’s beach in Hawaii Kai. Round the last green marker (Blinker buoy) and finish at the red nipple buoy outside of Magic Island.
  • Short course: Same as the long course.
  • Suggested start times are 9:30 a.m. for “short” course and 10:00 a.m. for “long” course.
  • Worldwide: You can race anywhere at any time for one whole week prior to the closing of registration. Oahu paddlers are welcome to use their best 10 miles to enter the Worldwide course.

Registration: Register Feb. 28 or March 01 at www.flpregister.com. Registration closes March 01 at 5:00pm HST. You will need your ACTUAL time to register, so please register AFTER you race, and choose the correct course.

Submit your GPS data if you have it at #KIRA2021#5 for Instagram and @kanakaikaika on Facebook. SUBMITTING YOUR DATA ON IG AND FB IS NOT YOUR ENTRY. YOU MUST ENTER ONLINE AT www.flpregister.com OR YOU WILL NOT BE ENTERED.

KIRA will track the Poai Puni Series results and the Waterman series results for registered paddlers. Registered paddlers will earn raffle credits for every entry, for chances to win raffle prizes from our sponsors at the end of the season (or whenever we do a raffle…. More information tbd)
