KIRA #3 MAGIC ISLAND
SUNDAY JANUARY 25, 2026

10:00 start for short course and 10:20 long course 

Divisions:  OC-6, OC-4, OC-3, OC-2, OC-1, Surfski, SUP, Prone paddleboard, V-1

Long Course:  10 Miles  Magic Island- DH Buoy- Kewalo- Magic Island

Short Course:  6.5 Miles Magic Island- Kapahulu- Kewalo- Magic Island

Keiki Course: 1 mile. Prior to the adult races we’ll have a keiki course. The Keiki course may or may not have categories – based on participation.

Start Sequence:

Keiki Course – 9:15 am,

Short Course – 10:00 am,

Long Course – 10:20 am

• Long course sequence:
  • 10:20a All Women (OC1, OC-2 female, SS) And all V1 (male and female)
  • 10:23a All Men, Mixed, and OC3-OC6

*Pre-registration: $40.00 per paddler ($20.00 for Juniors 18 and under code: KIRAJR) online at www.flpregister.com until FRIDAY midnight, January 23, 2026.

INSURANCE:

NEW PROCEDURE. Everyone needs to purchase the ANNUAL American Canoe Association (ACA) membership and select Kanaka Ikaika as the affiliate organization. This is a one time procedure that will cover ALL Kanaka Ikaika races in 2026. You will not need to sign a waiver for each race.

NOTE: Race day check in at MAGIC ISLAND  (small parking): 7:30 AM- 9:00 AM

If ACA is not set up you must physically check in                                                             

At the end of the race join us at Canoe Halau (small parking lot) where the HIC crew will be cooking fresh burgers and there will be awards and prizes from our sponsors:
