9 person change race. Crews are a mix of juniors and Adults. Minimum of 4 juniors per crew. Junior = 18 and under
MAIN COURSE: Waimanalo Beach Park to Magic Island.
- Beach check in / Late registration 7:00 – 9:00 a.m.
- Start: 10:00 a.m.
- 4 Juniors must start and finish the race.
- 20 minutes before first change. Last change before channel marker outside Magic Isle.
- Lunch and awards to follow in Ala Moana Beach Park.
DIVISIONS: 9 person crews mixing juniors with Adults. Minimum of 4 juniors per crew. Junior = 18 and under. Age groups are based on oldest junior paddler. Females can mix into the male crews, but if there are less than 5 females in the crew, the crew will be classified as a male crew.
UNLIMITED AND SPEC CLASS CANOE DIVISIONS FOR ALL DIVISIONS. If you have it, bring it!

14 AND UNDER MINI COURSE AT MAGIC ISLE. – JUNIORS ONLY: After the last finisher, there will be a short (2-3 mile) mini distance race off Magic Island (like the ILH course) for crews 14 and under: Male, female and mixed can participate. Canoes from Main Course will be used.
REGISTRATION AND ENTRY FEES
Main Course: $150.00/crew pre-registration. AFTER JULY 05: $240.00/crew late registration.
14 and under Mini Course: $60.00. AFTER JULY 05: $90.00/crew late registration.
Pre-registration: Download forms on kanakaikaika.com and mail with check to: Kanaka Ikaika Racing Association, PO Box 342152, Kailua, HI 96734. RACE ENTRY FORM, PRE-REGISTRATION FEE & ESCORT WAIVER FORM MUST BE RECEIVED BY END OF DAY ON THURSDAY, JULY 06. Final list of paddler names can be updated on race day. Please make sure each paddler completes the KIRA-2 Release of Liability Form and the appropriate ACA Waiver Form. Call 808 927-0711 with any questions..
The after party and awards ceremony will be at the BLAISDELL EXHIBITION HALL. All participants will receive free entry for themselves and a guest. Children under 12 free.
