Hinano Po'ai Puni year end awards will be awarded in each of the categories listed below.
Points will be awarded based on your place on the overall results list for long course OCs/SSs, short course OCs/SSs, and short course Paddle-Boards (regardless of vessel type or gender).
Each race will be worth a minimum of 150 points to the overall winner, 149 points to second and so forth.

Three lists (one for long course OCs/SSs, one for short course OCs/SSs and one for short course Paddle-Boards) will be updated after each race to show your current PO'AI PUNI points earned for each race, your total, and your overall ranking.  If you do long and short courses or race different vessel types you will be listed in more than one place on the lists.  Please spell your name the same way on the entry form for each race.  This will help us assign your points properly.

You must complete a minimum of three races in one category to qualify for the final series standings. Your best scoring four out of six races (the last scoring race is the Oahu Championships) in one category will be used to determine your final 2012 PO'AI PUNI CHAMPIONSHIP points total and ranking.

Final awards and or recognition will be presented at the 2012 Kanaka Ikaika State Championship awards ceremony.
Adjustments to the PO'AI PUNI Points System can be made at any time at the discretion of Kanaka Ikaika Racing Association.
Kanaka Ikaika reserves the right to foster fair competition in the application of these rules.
